Around 200 representatives of IT undertakings, politics, the legal professions and the private sector met in Berlin on 9 and 10 February for the Domain pulse 2006, to which they had been invited by the German domain registry, DENIC.

The expert conference gave specialist circles the opportunity for direct and active dialogue on current topics, tendencies and trends relating to Internet domains. The focus of the event was rather on political and societal aspects than on technical issues.

The annual expert conference Domain pulse is organised in turns by the three German-speaking domain registries DENIC (.de), nic.at (.at) and SWITCH (.ch).
